A FUN day at a Hayle fitness and wellbeing centre has raised thousands of pounds for a local charity.

Aspire South West held a variety of fancy-dress group exercise classes and fitness challenges at its studio in Marsh Lane Industrial Estate in aid of Hayle Surf Life Saving Club.

A raffle with prizes such as meal vouchers, jewellery and clothing helped to boost funds and coffee van Cool Beans provided hot drinks and pastries to customers.

Rob Johns of Aspire said: “We are extremely grateful to those whom participated, purchased raffle tickets and donated on the day to help make the event such a success. The Hayle Surf Life Saving Club does such a fantastic job, and the funds will be gratefully received. Special thanks to Aaron from Barclays who helped us secure some additional funding, boosting our total to more than £2,000.”
